Alberta drivers may have a reputation, and let’s be honest, sometimes it feels a bit earned. I mean, we’ve all seen those jacked-up trucks barreling down the highway, complete with truck nuts swinging in the wind. But while we might joke about it, the truth is that our driving habits are making it hard to shake that stereotype.
Over the Labour Day weekend, the RCMP handed out nearly 2,000 tickets across the province. Of those, more than half were for speeding. Now, I know, it’s tough to keep an eye on your speed when you’re busy replying to a text, right? But seriously, this isn’t helping our case.
So maybe it’s time we take a moment, slow down, and give the rest of Canada one less reason to side-eye us when we’re on the road. After all, nobody wants to be “that” driver, right?
