Ah, the age-old debate about holiday decorations—when is too early? In Canada, we’ve long respected the unspoken rule of waiting until after Remembrance Day to deck the halls with Christmas cheer. But what about Halloween? It’s still scorching outside, yet Spirit Halloween has been open for weeks, and the candy is already on display in stores!

Why rush into spooky season when it’s still 30 degrees? Who’s buying costumes now when you can’t even tell if they’ll fit over a parka? And let’s be honest, expecting anyone to resist the temptation of Halloween candy from now until the end of October is just cruel. Can’t we at least wait until the kids are back in school before diving into the ghostly goodies?
