As much as we’ll all collectively complain about social media, it seems Canadians have something they hate even more. A new study has determined that the most hated app in Canada is none other than the dating and hookup app Tinder.

Personally, I can’t criticize it too much because it confirmed my belief that my wife liked me before I asked her out—although that’s going to be the lamest story to tell my kids one day. But I can understand where the hatred comes from. For ladies, you get a lot of weird messages from guys you probably drunk swiped on. For guys, getting ignored by someone who claimed to like you brings up all those old high school rejection feels.

So, while Tinder might be the most hated app, it’s also a shared experience in modern dating woes. Maybe we can all bond over that instead!
