Beetlejuice is back! The newly released trailer (see below) for the sequel has fans fired up with excitement and nostalgia. Tim Burton’s 1988 classic set a high bar, and with him having his hands and mind on the sequel it looks poised to capture the same magic with fresh twists. It’s absolutely perfectly cast too, if you ask me, Michael Keaton returns as Beetlejuice, Winona Ryder is back as Lydia Deetz, Jenna Ortega continues to be cast with creepy and awesome characters and will play her daughter Astrid Deetz. Some other big names include Katherine O’Hara, Geena Davis & Alec Baldwin. The soundtrack/score should be pretty spot on too, as legendary film composer Danny Alfman has full control of it.

I’m a firm believer that some movies should be left alone to protect their legacy, but this looks like they may done it right, which might just add to it instead. Mark your calendars for September 5th 2024, Beetlejuice is back, and it’s showtime!
