Ever received advice that went horribly wrong? Well, the US National Park Service recently went viral with a tweet that takes the cake. They advised, “If you come across a bear, never push a slower friend down…even if you feel the friendship has run its course.”
Dark, right? Sure, we’ve all joked about it when out in the woods, but actually doing it? That’s a whole different story. Personally, I’ve never been that close to a bear, so I can’t say for sure how I’d react. But there’s a reason I do cardio three times a week. While avoiding bear attacks isn’t the main reason, it’s definitely not NOT a factor! So, next time you’re hiking, maybe pick up the pace—just in case.
